Between Jobs
Started in 2009, "Between Jobs Ministry" is now offering one-on-one instruction and no-cost support for unemployed individuals (spouses and non-CBB members are welcome). CBB member, Curt Hall (a certified and successful Human Resource Manager) conducts scheduled, confidential sessions on Thursday afternoons from 1 - 5:00 PM. Interviewing pointers, resume advice, networking support as well as Christian support and encouragement are offered.

The purpose of the Fish Pantry is to reduce hunger in the Knoxville community. Since 1994 the mission of Edwin Hodges Ministry has been reclaiming God’s resources for His purposes. CBB partners with this unique ministry to collect church literature to ship to countries all over the world. Operation Inasmuch is a faith-based multi-denominational ministry tasked with equipping churches and other faith - based groups for compassion ministry.  As ordained in Matthew 25:40, KJV, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”  Operation Inasmuch is a national movement, a Compassion Revolution, that employs proven models to motivate, train and equip churches to move more congregants out of the sanctuary seats and into the streets to serve the neediest in their communities. Steffanie Barber, a speech-language pathologist, provides group treatment for individuals with aphasia. Aphasia is a communication disorder resulting in a loss or reduction in the ability to express or comprehend language following brain damage (most typically resulting from a stroke). The Group Therapy is intended for those who have exhausted medical insurance benefits, but are looking to continue speech therapy. During Group, the participants practice communicating in real-life conversations, target structured speech-language tasks and receive support from one another.
